Hello, I’m Rusty, how are you?

I am a Standard Schnauzer, the dog with the ‘human brain‘, the Standard Schnauzer Club of America already named it. So, consistently, I would like to present you my very personal reflections on what puzzled me during the week.

Rusty? Well, Almut and Thomas first met a Schnauzer in the US, my name though had to be an American one and easy to spell. After a quick brainstorming they got it. Rusty Ryan in the Ocean’s movies? Rusty the locomotive in Starlight Express? Hm, thoughts in the background …?

Although my name is obviously English I’m not a native speaker, mother tongue is that difficult German (some older texts are German still). If anybody feels correcting my texts I’m happy to receive comments and notes to improve my English.

Oh, and this is Almut who helped me to translate my experiences and thoughts into the blog as my paws are just too big to manage it all alone …

Well, of course I could have done more myself – but, you know, sometimes it is easier to have a helping hand instead of struggling with everything on your own.

And a sophisticated counterpart is even better.

Once or twice a week I am accompanying her husband Thomas to his gallery.

He owns a gallery of contemporary art in Kreuzberg and I always try to influence his selection of art – huh, and now he is accepting my advice more and more.

Playing with my buddy Anton is one of my favourites in the gallery. As you can see it is not so easy to get along with each other being teenagers, but: we manage it. Any other playful dogs welcome!

But please be careful with the art pieces.

Meeting ‘arty’ people is another top of the day. Like many others they add their experiences to mine – may these be human, animalic or anything else. While commuting between Charlottenburg and Kreuzberg, travelling with Almut and Thomas to many other locations there are lots of possibilities for inspirations.

But what I really love is being in the nature where I am just myself – a playful, active dog: playing with and meeting other dogs, jumping and running, just having fun (because a standard training is too boring for me). I am more a kind of a show and circus guy. At the moment learning to escort Almut on a horse, or, to put it more precisely, learn to escort horses in general, at least, honor them, try to understand them. Wow, they are just so big…
So – enjoy my new spirit of writing like I do. Follow my style, my special sense of humour and political attitude. And better be nice to me – otherwise I am not in a funny mood …

And if you REALLY like my style – show me the BEST place where we can make our livin’ and earn some $$$.

Feedback welcome!
